My Love

Where are you tonight my love,
the woman of my dreams.
I’ve been searching for you forever now,
a hundred lifetimes or more it seems.
I walk through life blinded by visions of you,
no others before me do I see.
Where are you tonight my love,
I need you here with me.

Where are you tonight my love,
the woman of my dreams.
I need you more than ever now,
I can not live on dreams.
You are close tonight, I can feel,
I know you can feel me too.
Where are you tonight my love,
I am desperately seeking you.

Where are you tonight my love,
the woman of my dreams.
I have been searching for so long and hard,
you don’t know what this means.
I am weaker now and growing tired,
asking what’s the purpose of life.
Where are you tonight my love,
the one who would be my wife.

I am older now and tired too,
my time here has been a waste.
I’ve been searching for my fantasy woman,
setting aside all others with haste.
I can no longer see black and white,
nor shade or hue in between.
My body is worn, my soul is lost,
my mind no longer keen.

I know where you are tonight my love,
you have been with me every day.
You are in every woman I ever met,
my heart and soul in every way.
I looked right through you every time,
the obvious I could not see.
I need you to give me one more chance my love,
please come back to me.
