When I go home I want you to hold my hand. It’s a journey you can’t make with me, just send me home with love and peace. I was lost and you found me and when I go I must go without you. It is a journey that only I can make. When I go home I want you to hold my hand.
When I go home I want you to hold my hand. We can walk together for this lifetime but when it is time to take that next step you cannot go with me. I know not what that next step brings I only know what I will leave behind. So, I want that moment to be of comfort not fear. When I go home I want you to hold my hand.
When I go home I want you to hold my hand. Our journey together has not always been easy but it was our journey to make. When that journey comes to an end I will leave for another place, to the home that I have never been. I don’t know what it looks like, if it is warm or cold. When I go home I want you to hold my hand.
When I go home I want you to hold my hand. When I leave, you will have to let go. The hardest part for me is to know I will go alone without you. A home without you is empty and is not a home but a prison. So, when it is time for me to go home I want you to hold my hand as those last few moments must last me for an eternity.
